The Flower Child
The Flower child combined a variety of skill sets that stretched me as a designer– it required coding, soldering, and 3D printing, all which I did not have any previous experience doing.
The concept behind the design is based on the Pomodoro Study Technique, which believes that a productive study habit consists of 25 minutes of attentive studying, followed by 5 minutes breaks.
Each petal will light up after 25 minutes of studying, and then the middle light will turn off, insinuating a 5 minute study break. After 4 petals light up, a long break is recommended.
This project was selected to be displayed in the CU-Boulder Environmental Design Gallery.
